The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development has pledged its continued support to ADMARC Limited to ensure that it effectively fulfills its mandate.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Honourable Thoko Tembo, MP, made the remarks during a visit to ADMARC Limited’s Limbe Depot and the dhal processing plant in Luchenza.
Tembo said improved operations at ADMARC would greatly benefit farmers by providing a reliable market for their produce, stabilising prices, and improving livelihoods.
“ADMARC has the infrastructure and capacity to be transformed into a competitive public export enterprise capable of generating the much-needed forex,” he said.
Speaking on the dhal processing plant in Luchenza, the Deputy Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that the facility becomes fully operational for the benefit of the nation.
He said once operations commence, the plant will produce locally processed dhal for both domestic consumption and export markets, in line with the government’s agenda of value addition and economic growth.
ADMARC Limited’s Marketing Manager, Agness Ndovi, who accompanied the delegation, said the visit had motivated management and staff.
