ADMARC markets go digital with Airtel Money

ADMARC and Airtel Money Malawi have entered into a partnership that enables ADMARC and its customers to buy and sell agricultural produce using Airtel Money.

This initiative is expected to significantly reduce the use of cash in ADMARC markets across the country.

Speaking during the launch at the Trade Fair grounds in Blantyre, ADMARC Chief Executive Officer Ben Botolo said the partnership is an important step in modernising ADMARC’s operations and improving service delivery to customers.

“We are pleased to partner with Airtel Money to introduce digital payments in our markets. This will make it easier for customers to access our products and reduce the risks associated with handling cash. We believe this will improve both security and convenience for our customers and farmers,” said Botolo.

Head of Partnership Acquisition at Airtel Money, Khumbo Phiri, said the partnership will help more Malawians access secure and convenient payment services.

“This partnership gives customers and farmers a safer way to make and receive payments. People will no longer need to carry large amounts of cash, reducing the risk of theft. We are proud to support ADMARC in its journey towards digital transformation,” said Phiri.

The partnership marks another step towards a digital future for ADMARC, as the Company continues to adopt technology that improves service delivery and supports safe, efficient and convenient business transactions.
