The Unit Market Officers (UMOs) have been urged to remain vigilant and professional in conducting business to ensure that ADMARC becomes a profitable institution.
ADMARC Chief Executive Officer, Ben Botolo made the remarks during an interface meeting with Unit Market Officers from Salima, Mponela and Kasungu divisions as part of preparations for the 2026 produce purchasing season.
Botolo said ADMARC has relied on government subventions for a long time and emphasized the need for a mindset change among employees to improve efficiency, accountability and profitability.
“ADMARC has been depending on subvention for a long time. It is now time for us to start making profits. We are therefore encouraging a mindset change in the way we discharge our duties,” he said.
He further urged the officers to uphold professionalism and treat customers with respect, saying quality customer service is key to building public trust and strengthening ADMARC’s operations during the purchasing season and beyond.
Speaking on behalf of the Unit Market Officers, Charles Matenje said the officers are committed to working hard and ensuring that the Company achieves its goals during the purchasing season and beyond.
Matenje said the interface meeting had motivated the officers to continue improving service delivery, enhancing accountability and working with dedication to contribute towards ADMARC’s profitability and growth.
He added that the officers have also been engaging communities through awareness meetings and interactions with farmers to encourage them to sell their produce to ADMARC and strengthen the company’s relationship with the public.
