- Background
ADMARC Limited intends to engage the services of a qualified consulting firm to carry out maintenance and servicing of scales and weighbridges across all ADMARC markets and depots. This initiative aims at ensuring accurate and just weighing, enhance agricultural productivity and align with regional and international standards under the Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project (SATCP) and SADC-COMESA-EAC Tripartite Agreements on axle load control.
- Objective of the Assignment
The main objective of this assignment is to:
- Service and maintain pit weighbridges, dial scales and salter scales;
- Review current weighing technologies in use;
- Identify gaps and propose technical solutions;
- Ensure compatibility with regional weighing norms;
- Propose institutional reforms for efficient scale and weighbridge operations.
- Scope of the Services
The assignment will cover two lots:
Lot 1: Maintenance and servicing of scales which includes calibration, assizing,
replacement of faulty parts, cleaning and verification.
Lot 2: Maintenance and servicing of weighbridges which includes troubleshooting, load
cell testing, dashboard linkage, software license provision, calibration, certification and training of ADMARC staff.
- ADMARC Ltd now invites sealed proposals to provide the above-mentioned Consultancy Services and bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

- An RFP document in English may be purchased by interested bidders by submitting a proof of payment slip to the Senior Accountant’s Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Kwacha Only). The method of payment will be through ADMARC Limited National Bank Account Number 2089033, Customs Road Branch.
- Sealed bids clearly marked on the outer envelope with a bid description and procurement reference number must be deposited in the tender box at the Main Reception, ADMARC Limited, Corner Tsiranana Road, Limbe at or before 00pm on Thursday, 31st July 2025. Late bids shall be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, in the ADMARC Limited Corporate Marketing Board Room, ADMARC Limited Head Office, Corner Tsiranana Road, Limbe at 2:00pm on Thursday, 31st July 2025.
